Actor Ernie Reyes Jr. desires a kidney transplant, and his sister Destiny Reyes took to GoFundMe to raise $75,000 for the procedure.
According to the web page, which has raised practically $39,000 already, Reyes “was not too long ago in the ICU (Intensive Care Unit) fighting for his life suffering from kidney failure. Ernie is at present undergoing dialysis treatment 3 times per week for four hours a day while waiting for a kidney transplant.”
Reyes, 43, starred in “Sidekicks” in the 1980s and “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze” in 1991, and also had roles in “Rush Hour 2” and “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.”
“My brother has spent his whole childhood and adult life fighting in films and television, but now his battle has gone from the screen to reality, fighting for his life,” his sister stated on GoFundMe.
She added, “Regardless of exactly where you have observed or heard of Ernie Reyes Jr., he has impacted peoples’ lives all more than the planet by means of his extraordinary performances in tv and film. Please be conscious that he demands assistance throughout this time of want and recovery of his life.”
